In this 1 day workshop we take you step by step from capturing images on location,workflow & archiving and the processing & the retouching techniques used to create your final image.
This day is designed to fast track you by packing as much knowledge and tips into it as possible.
Workshop Outline
Workshop Designed for:
Those who have an intermediate photography/photoshop knowledge.
e.g a basic knowledge of the workings of their camera, exposure, shutter
speed & F stops and of photoshop's basic features e.g layers,camera raw
Overview:
I will broaden your knowledge & skills in the areas of digital
landscape photography from both behind the camera and from
behind the desk.
This is intended as an informal and fun day of learning with
the bonus of meeting new people and experiencing wonderful locations.
Benefits :
You will learn in a small group of like minded people by doing, watching and
asking questions along the way.
The group is kept to a maximum of 10 people so personal attention can be given
to everyone attending.
The weekend workshop is structured to be fun and informal, but as informative as possible.

The content of this session is very much down to the individual images we shoot in the morning and the techniques I feel they will need using on them.However without doubt will be using at least the following techniques including both global and selective
Curves

The Schedule:
*Session 1 Our day starts before dawn when we meet and travel to explore some of the magical locations on the Somerset Levels.
Whilst on route we will have a meet and greet session and I will explain a little about the day ahead and get everyone aquainted.
During this session you will instructed on various camera techniques to help you capture stunning high quality files and I will be on hand to give individual advise during your shooting.
*Refreshments will be served (T-Coffee Breakfast Snack)
Back at our training centre we take a short break for a late breakfast/brunch before we start our post shooting sessions.
Breakfast/Brunch Not Included
Session 2 we will look at Workflow & Archiving images starting with editing, converting and processing followed by instruction on keywording and archiving and why it's so important to implement.
Session 3 We start our hands on sessions by taking a Raw image of your choosing from your mornings shoot (or one I supply).
In Adobe Camera Raw we look at various processing features to optimise our files ready for further work within Photoshop.

*Session 4 is where we delve into the power of photoshop and use various techniques to breathe life into our image and transform it into the final image you visualise.

Equipment Needed:
Camera,
Lens (Approx 24-70mm as a minimum)
Tripod
If in doubt bring it!
Should you wish to work along with the post shooting sessions 3 and 4 a laptop running photoshop elements and above is required.
We can rent the above for approx £10.00 for the day. This is not imperative however as you may simply wish to relax and watch as I take you through these sessions.

We have just 10 spaces available for both workshop dates on either Saturday 27th February or Saturday 13th March
The Worshop costs £215.00 per person.
This fee covers training,transport & some refreshments.
All fees are paid through Paypal or by Cheque.

Payment Details
A deposit of £100.00 will reserve your booking.
Full payment or balance must be made 30 days before workshop
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel you must notify me by email at
30 days before the workshop commences.
If cancellation is less than 4 weeks before the course commences the following charges will be made:
- Less than 30 days 50% of fee
- Less than 7 working days full fee.
Please Note If Your Place Is Filled After Cancellation We Will Be Happy To Refund 100% Of Your Fee
Terms and Conditions:
1, Payment in full of £215.00 (£190.00 with early booking discount) or the balance if deposit has been made (made payable via Paypal) is required 4 weeks prior to the workshop date with the completed booking form.
A confirmation will be emailed to you which form a contract between you and Simon Plant of ProPhotoInsights.
2, Should payment fail to reach us by the date specified in our Terms we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
3, It may be necessary for reasons beyond my control (e.g averse weather) to change the content or timing of a workshop or even cancel it altogether.
In the event of cancellation a full refund will be made but hereby disclaim any further liability.
4, ProPhotoInsights does not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the client or any other person included on the booking form, unless proven to arise from negligence on the part of the Company. Any claims shall, be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the exclusive domain of the English courts.
5, ProphotoInsights carries 5 Million Pounds Public Liability Insurance for our own cover.
We advise all photographers to check that they are personally covered on location by Public Liability Insurance which is often found on your House/Contents Insurance.
We accept no liability if you have an accident or cause one to others while attending this workshop.
6, The client must communicate any perceived failure of the course or workshop to
ProPhotoInsights while on the course, thus giving us the opportunity of achieving a satisfactory solution.
Should this not be possible for any reason, your complaint must be made in writing to us within 28 days after the finish date of the course.
7, By signing the booking form, you are agreeing to accept all of these Terms and Conditions.
Bookings:
Upon payment we will email you a booking form which needs to be completed and emailed back to us .
You may pay a deposit (unless workshop commences in less than 30 days) or choose to pay the full fee.
